MEET ALLISON (she/her)
Want to break free from the all-or-nothing mindset when it comes to your wellness journey?
Meet your Minneapolis Strength Trainer & Behavioral Wellness Coach who will help you take care of yourself without stressing out about the scale.
I’m Allison, and I help folks who have spent years dieting, develop a healthier relationship with exercise, food, and overall self-care.
When I was teenager, I became interested in how food and exercise impacted our lives. I eventually became a fitness professional and started to study nutrition dietetics in college.
This innocent fascination of food, nutrition, and exercise later escalated into binge eating disorder, then floated along as disordered eating.
I kept dieting as a way to try to “control” my problems, and chase a body image I thought was acceptable.
I always say 89% of my brain space was focused on food, and my exercise regimen, which left little space for anything else.
In 2014, I read the book Intuitive Eating, and felt so connected to the concept that come 2017, I became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor & Wellness Coach in Minneapolis, and virtually around the world.
Now I help folks feel peaceful with food, exercise, and their body no matter the season of life they’re in.
I'll help you enjoy taking care of yourself again because you’re not dieting.
You deserve a life in which your brainspace isn’t taken up by restrictive wellness regimens.
Other Fun Facts:
I went to Louisiana State University on a graduate assistantship program and earned my Master’s in Kinesiology
I have a rescue dog, Nova, that I love adventuring with. She’s a husky mix that essentially makes up a sled-dog, we keep active!
If I had to choose, I’d go with a mountain vacation over a beach vacation. I love outdoor hiking (especially alongside a lake) and the mood-boosting benefits that come with fresh air. My ideal night after hiking involves a fireplace, a cozy blanket, my dog and hot chocolate (for me, not my dog!!).
New Girl, Schitt’s Creek, and Ted Lasso are some of my favorite TV shows - I also love the Mole and Traitors!
My first ever job was working at a Dairy Queen - I still have 90% of the Blizzard ingredients memorized
Aldi is my favorite grocery stores, if you follow me on my socials, you’ll definitely see me talk about it
I'm been lucky to call 3 states home: Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Minnesota [my current location]!
